Overview
This fun walking tour covers the fascinating history of Fordsburg and surrounds. The tour meets up at the City Lodge Hotel in Newtown, from where we take a gentle walk to Fordsburg, covering some beautiful street and public art along the way. The focus is on street food, and we eat from Indian, Bangladeshi, Syrian, African and Pakistani traders – best to come hungry! You will discover all the hidden secrets, meet the traders and lovely people of Fordsburg, and do plenty of shopping! The tour is suitable for vegetarians and people unable to eat spicy food, but not for vegan or lactose intolerant eaters. Please note duration depends on group size and mobility, how much you shop etc. Tour lasts between 3,5 to 4 hours.

Thank you to Gilda for a fantastic experience with my son Rob (Not a teen I might add so put in couple for category) To be honest I would have probably not ventured into this neighbohood on my own having just arrived in Joburg with no knowledge.
